CMC Vellore PG Entrance 2015

Christian Medical College Vellore invites Application Forms for Admission to various Post Graduate Medical Degree & Diploma Courses foe the academic session 2015.
CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have qualified for the MBBS Degree of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and the Indian Medical Council and have completed their compulsory rotating residential internship and obtained full registration before 15th May, 2015 are eligible to apply for the postgraduate diploma and degree courses.

Candidates who are in the 2nd  year of their training for a postgraduate diploma course may also apply for the postgraduate degree (MS/MD) course in the same subject. Post Diploma candidates with a diploma in the same subject need to undergo 2 years of training for the degree.

Note: Those who complete a DCP will not have this benefit for MD Pathology.

Candidates currently pursuing a postgraduate training programme and who complete the same by the 15th May,  2015 only will be eligible to apply.

CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Application Process
Application forms can be accessed only online through the Christian Medical College website www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 20th September, 2014. Duly filled application forms must be submitted online with a basic administrative fee of Rs.750/- and a registration fee of Rs. 600 per course before 24:00 hours on 7th November, 2014. All the supporting documents and payment proof (If Payment is made by Demand Draft/Bank Challan) should reach the Office of Registrar, CMC, Vellore -2 by post on or before 14th November, 2014.

Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send a Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries, 100 USD or its equivalent as administrative fee in addition to the registration fee per course.

Money can be remitted using any one of the following methods:
  1. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please take a printout of ICICI challan after signing in before you go to the bank. After payment please send the original challan to the Office of the Registrar.
  2. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any Scheduled Bank, payable at Vellore. Keep your demand draft ready before filling the application form. Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft before dispatching.  
  3. Online payment using payment gateway (Credit or Debit Card/Net Banking)

CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Test Structure
1. CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Computer Based Test will be of 2 types:
Step :- 1
  1. A GENERAL paper consisting of multiple choice questions drawn from all subjects taught in the undergraduate medical course.
  2. A SPECIAL paper consisting of multiple choice questions in the specialty for which the candidate has applied and subjects allied to it e.g., the paper for ENT may include questions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc., with respect to the ear, nose and throat.
NOTE:
  1. A candidate may write a general paper for all his/her choices (a maximum of 4 courses in 2 subjects; see item 2 below for exception) OR
  2. They may write a General paper for selection to a course in one subject and write a Special paper for selection to the second subject.
  1. Two new PG courses (MD Nuclear Medicine and MD Palliative Medicine) are available, subject to MCI approval. You may apply for any of them or both, in addition to a maximum of 4 courses in 2 other subjects as mentioned above. In case the MCI approval is not through by end of April 2015, selection to these courses will be cancelled.
  2. Candidates will not be permitted to write two Special papers.
  3. Candidates are NOT permitted to write both the General paper and the Special paper for selection to two courses of the SAME SPECIALTY.
The duration of the General and Special papers are 3 hours each (240 questions). All candidates are required to be in their assigned seats at the time, date and place stipulated on the Hall ticket. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the stipulated examination commencement time.

Those who cannot take the examination on a Saturday for religious reasons (Eg. SDAs) should apply separately to the Registrar for special arrangements to take the examination. This special arrangement however will only be available at Vellore.

For those taking the Exams in Vellore: Please note that no accommodation will be available in the Hospital Annexe or any of the institutional guest houses or hostels during this period. 

Step :- 2
A list of candidates who are selected for the Step 2 which includes assessment of skills & knowledge will be put up on notice boards in the College and Town campuses and on the website www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in A medical checkup will be held on the first day of Step 2. All candidates invited for the Step 2 MUST bring a Chest X-ray taken within the last 6 months.

Note - Candidates who are currently pregnant or pregnancy is a possibility are exempt from the Chest X-ray.

Candidates who are invited to Step 2 MUST have the following documents.
  1. Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate or Official Final Mark Sheet issued by the University, for each course done - MBBS/Diploma. Certificates issued by other authorities are not acceptable.
  2. Course and Conduct Certificate issued by the Principal/Dean of the College and stamped with the Seal of office giving the dates of commencement and completion of the course, stating clearly that the candidate does not have any pending obligation of service - one certificate for each course done MBBS/Diploma. Certificates issued by other authorities are not acceptable.
  3. STATE MEDICAL COUNCIL REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE (Temporary or Permanent).
CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates for Postgraduate courses will be according to the directives of the CMC Vellore Council. Fifty percent of seats in each course are reserved for sponsored candidates, provided they fulfill other criteria for eligibility for admission. However, more than 50% of the available seats may be allotted to sponsored candidates based on their ranking in the step - 2 .

The wait list is based on ranking in the selection process. The first sponsored candidate on the waiting list will ordinarily fill vacancies arising by sponsored candidates not accepting a seat to make up 50% reservation for sponsored candidates. In the event that more than 50% of the seats in any course are filled by sponsored candidates and one of the sponsored candidates does not accept the seat, it will be offered to the next candidate on the wait list by rank irrespective of whether he or she is sponsored or open. No admissions will usually be made after 25th May 2015.

Weightage will be given to
a) Those who have served in areas of need.
b) Those who are sponsored by eligible sponsoring bodies of the CMC Vellore Association.
c) Those who were the best outgoing students of their medical college.

The Principal's decision regarding the above is final. Any falsification of information will lead to automatic disqualification.

CMC Vellore PGET 2015 Hall Ticket
The Hall Ticket will be available at the college website www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 09th January, 2015. Use the application number as ID and date of birth as password to download and print your hall ticket. Check for accuracy of details. Only one Hall Ticket will be generated per candidate even if the candidate is registered for more than one course. In case of non- availability of the hall ticket one week prior to the date of the written test, candidates must contact the Office of the Registrar by fax, email or telephone. Please keep your application number handy when you call.

CMAT 2015 Preparation Tips

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Management Test conducted twice a year (first in September and second in February) which by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) for admissions in Post-Graduate Management Programs. Firstly introduced in 2012, it grew with tremendous pace in the following years.

The exam results will shortlist candidates for admissions in the management programmes of over 1500 AICTE approved participating institutes around the Country.

It covered the essential Grammatical portions like: Para-jumbles, Fill in the blanks, vocabulary, Critical Reasoning, Idioms, Usage of Adjectives etc. Those candidates having basic Grammatical knowledge would have found this particular section to be somewhat easy.

One of those sections that always teases the candidates is General Awareness or G.A. It was of the moderate level and about 30% of the questions were from current Affairs. The other topics that this section covered were:

CMAT 2015 : Preparation Tips
  • Since CMAT is an All India Level Entrance Exam, the competition would be in higher side. Proper Preparation, Time Management, Logical Attitude, Confidence only will bring the aspirants to top list. A complete dedication, hard work and planned study are the helping factors for high scores. This will not happen in overnight study. The aspirants or test taker should start practice atleast a year before the real time CMAT.
  • CMAT like all other competitive exams will seem to contain more questions and less time limit. However,  a good preparation in advance can overcome such hurdles. IRMA Entrance Exam 2015 Notifications

Institute Rural Management Anand (IRMA) Entrance Exam 2015
Institute Rural Management Anand (IRMA), invites Application Forms for eligible Candidates for Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) Programs through IRMA 2015 Admission Test or CAT-2014 for the academic year 2015-2017.

IRMA 2015 Program Structures
A. IRMA PRM (Post Graduate in Rural Management) Programs
A two year fully Residential Post Graduate Program comprising of four different segments :-
a. Classroom
b. Fieldwork
c. Organisational Understanding
d. Management Training

PRM is recognized as equivalent to Master's Degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) & also approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)

B. IRMA Fellowship Programs
A Doctoral Education in Rural Management leading up to the title of "Fellow, Institute of Rural Management, Anand". It has a minimum Residency Requirement of 3 years. Eligibility Criteria for IRMA Entrance Exam 2015
A. For IRMA PRM Program
  • Applicants who apply to IRMA with CAT 2014 Score have to appear for IRMA Admission Test.
  • A Graduate from any Discipline with minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of Education, having 50% aggregate Marks in Graduation Level (45% for SC/ST/DAP).
  • The Percentage of aggregate Marks is to be Calculated as per the Practice followed by the concerned University or Institutions.
  • Final year students who are expecting to Complete all Requirements of Graduation before 14th July, 2014 can also apply. There are No Management Quota for Admission to PRM at IRMA.
B. For IRMA FPRM Program
To be eligible for Admission to the FPRM 2014 Programs an Applicant must satisft one of the following Conditions :
  • PGDRM from IRMA or 
  • OYP from IRMA with one year Post Diploma Work Experience or
  • Post Graduation in any Discipline from a Recognized University or Institution with 50% Marks in PG & 50% in Graduation or
  • Five-year Professional Degree (Medicine, Veterinary Science, Architecture..etc.) with 60% Marks & at-least one year of Work Experience or
  • Four-year Professional Degree (Engineering, Agricultural Science..etc.) with 60% of Marks & at-least 3 yrs. of Work Experience
  • Applicants having valid score of UGC JRF (NET) or CSIR in Relevant Disciplines (Management, Economics, Social Work, Socialogy, Psychology, Commerce...ect.)
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants belongs to ST/SC/OBC/DAP (Differently Abled Person) is 5% less. Applicants who are expecting to fulfilling the eligibility criteria before july are allowed to apply.

In Exceptional Cases, A person with a high Professional Standing & Proven Competence, not Possessing a PG Degree but whose Experience can measure upto a PG Degree might also be consideres for Admission to the Programs. In these cases, FPRM Executive Committee would consider the quality of the published & un-published work and/or Professional Contributions of the Applicant & establish Equivalance to the relevant PG course subjects.

JEE Main-2015 Notifications

Admission Criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical  Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions funded by participating State Governments (SFTIs), and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) - 2015 application form online.

Examination Mode
The Paper-1 (B.E/B. Tech.) of JEE (Main)
will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode.

The Paper-2 (B.Arch./B. Planning.) of JEE (Main)
will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech) only.

JEE (Main) – 2015 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech) and Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech), or Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.

Type of Examination
JEE (Main) – 2015 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech) and Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech), or Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.

In case a candidate, by furnishing the false information, appears in more than one slots/dates of the computer based examination or appears in both the modes of examination i.e. pen & paper based and computer based examination, his candidature will be cancelled and his result will not be declared.

The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.

JEE (Main) 2015 Examiniation Centres
JEE (Main) - 2015 will be conducted in major cities and towns of India as well as abroad. While applying, candidates must select four centre cities in case of Pen & Paper based examination and one city in case of Computer Based Examination.

However, if the number of candidates for Computer Based Examination is less than 50 in a city on a particular date than such candidates will be allotted last day of the Computer Based Examination in the same city.

Similarly, efforts will be made to allot candidate’s city of Pen & Paper Based Examination as per their choice opted for in the application form. However, in some exceptional circumstances, a different city in nearby area may be allotted.

Requests for Change of Examination Centre
Normally, the requests for change of centre will not be entertained. In this regard, the decision of the
Executive Director (JAB) will be final.

Eligibility for Appearing in JEE (Main) - 2015
A. Date of Birth
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st October, 1990 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after 01st October, 1985 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.

B. Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE)
Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2013 or 2014, or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) - 2015. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2012 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2016 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) - 2015.

Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2012, did not pass in 2012, but passed in 2013 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2015.

C. Number of subjects in the Qualifying Examination (QE)
Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) - 2015. The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main) 2015 and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main) 2015 by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared.

D. Number of Attempts
The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).

E. No. of Attempts and Age limit for the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha
Since the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system from 2014. The age limit, for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their state level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will however be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs.

Karnataka-CET 2015 (K-CET)

Karnataka Common Entrance Test [K-CET] 2015

Karntaka CET (Common Entrance Test)  is a state level Entrance Examination conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority), Bangalore every year for Admission to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, B.Pharma, 2nd year B.pharm, (Lateral entry), Pharma-D course in Government/University/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed in 2nd PUC or 12th Standard Class Pass from the Recognized Educational Institutions located in the state of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years.

Candidates who appeared for Karnataka-CET in any of the previous years and got seat seat in any of the discipline are not eligible to appear for Karnataka-CET 2015 to get seat in same discipline. How ever candidates are eligible to get seat in any of the different discipline.

Minimum Pass Marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Candidates is 12 out of 50 Marks in Kannada Language.These marks also considered for allotment of seats.

Syllabus & Question Pattern
The Question Papers of the Common Entrance Test will be mostly based on the 1st and 2nd PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

The Karnataka-CET 2015 Entrance Examination will be held in two days in four different sessions for four papers. Each Question paper will be of (Objective) Multiple Choice Type.

The Kannada Exam for Horanadu & Gadinadu Students (50 Marks) will be held on 1st May, 2015 between 11:30 AM & 12:30 PM.

How to Apply ?
Application form will be available in the schools/colleges located in the Karnataka state where the students are pursued 2nd PUC from the Respective Colleges. First the candidates has to visit KEA Official Website to Download challan form by providing Bank Name, Candidate Name, Date of Birth, Category etc.Then the candidates has to pay requisite Application fee in any of the Bank Branches. After paying, Bank will give two copies of challan, these challan should be taken by the candidates and give in the Respective Colleges or Schools they were applied for the broucher.

Candidates who Qualified in Karnataka-CET 2015 Entrance Exam will be allotted seats on merit wise.The seat allotment to the candidates can be done through Online only.The college and course will be allotted to the candidates by the computer based on their rankings and options available in particular collegs as per the seat matrix issued by the government.
